Race AND TRAINING SCHEDULE

Please note! All dates are tentative and subject to change due to wind or weather - check this page or emails/texts for updates.

  • ​All races start at 10am unless otherwise noted. Please see the Race Day page for meeting times, schedule, etc. Transportation will be provided for most “away" races.
  • All training and time trials will take place at Alpine Meadows on Kangaroo and start at 1:30pm (meet at top of Kangaroo - whenever you can get there) unless otherwise noted. Lift tickets can be provided for all training days - you will have to let coaches know in advance if you need a ticket.
  • Text Gretchen at 530-386-0701 if you need a ticket! (training days only)
  • ​If it is a TTUSD snow day, race or training will be cancelled.

Thu, Jan 15 - SLALOM training at Alpine Meadows - this changed from GS, now SL

Tue, Jan 20 - Slalom race at Sierra-at-Tahoe 
Thu, Jan 22 - GS training at Alpine Meadows (share training hill with snowboard teams)

Tue, Jan 27 - SL + GS training at Alpine Meadows, Yellow Trail
(2 short courses of each, if you have both SL and GS skis, choose your favorite, and if not, you'll get some training for each discipline.) 

Wed, Jan 28 - GS race at Kirkwood- "Ryan Shreve Perpetual Trophy" Race, please plan to stay for awards.  ​
Fri, Jan 30 - NIGHT Slalom race at Heavenly
Tue, Feb 3 - SL training at Alpine Meadows
Wed, Feb 4 - Slalom race at Diamond Peak - NO TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED
Mon, Feb 9 - GS training at Alpine Meadows - Kangaroo
Tue, Feb 10 - GS race at Alpine Meadows (this is a new addition, was not on original schedule) 
Thu, Feb 12 - SL or GS training at Alpine Meadows
Mon, Feb 16 - Presidents' Day
Thu, Feb 19 - SL or GS training at Alpine Meadows

STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Specific rules apply for qualification. Racers must compete in three of 6 or more races during our regular season to be eligible to compete in State Championships. (If we have fewer than 6 races, this will change.)
Mon, Feb. 23 - GS - Varsity State Championships: Palisades Tahoe
Wed, Feb. 25 - SL - Varsity State Championships: Palisades Tahoe
* Awards to follow on Wednesday, please stay and attend!

WESTERN US HIGH SCHOOL SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • More details to come!
  • Qualifying criteria: previous results, coaches' discretion, no minimum number of race starts.
  • We are working on getting community donations to offset travel and lodging costs!
  • Location: Loveland, Colorado
    • Dates: Sunday through Wednesday, March 15-18, 2026
  • Our "Nevada Lake" team will be made up of athletes from all Tahoe Basin Ski League schools, like an "All Stars" team
  • 12 women, 12 men
  • USSA membership will be required: see usskiandsnowboard.org for membership info
    • You can purchase a short-term membership just for the dates of the event.
    • Are you turning 18 this year? Check with coaches for special considerations for USSA membership - you will need a background check which takes more time. 
  • Equipment requirements will apply. FIS-approved helmets and speed suits and USSA approved skis will be required. Coaches can help - we have helmets and skis. Maybe speed suits.
